The American Silver Eagle is one of the most popular silver bullion coins. 

The reverse of the coin features the American eagle symbol found on American currency; an eagle with a shield holding arrows in its left claw and an olive branch in its right claw. A ribbon reading “E PLURIBUS UNIM” is held in the eagle’s beak. The Letters along the top read: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. The Letters along the bottom read: “1OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR”. 

The Obverse features a portrait of the walking Statue of Liberty holding with a rising sun in the background. The letters “LIBERTY” surround the upper half of the image and the phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” can be seen in the bottom right of the image.
